Background to the remedy:

Sceletium tortuosum has been used by hunter-gatherers and shepherds as a mood-enhancing substance for millennia, and is far more effective and rapidly acting than the well-known European plant Hypericum (St John's Wort). As early as 1662, it is reported that van Riebeeck bartered with the Bushman for sheep and Sceletium tortuosum.

Today, Sceletium tortuosum, is so esteemed that it is being adopted by European conventional practitioners and American healers alike for its significant mood-elevating and anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) properties.

Each Capsule contains 20 mg Sceletium tortuosum, 120 mg Gladiolus, 150 mg Calcium (Coral/Marine), 40 mg enzymes and 10 mg Magnesium Stearate.

1 capsule in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening ½ hour before going to sleep with a full glass of water. Dosage may be increased to 4 capsules daily taken at regular intervals.

Contra indications:
Patients with a hypersensitivity to any of the plant species, iodine, shellfish or ingredients. May cause heartburn. Not to be taken during pregnancy. May cause heartburn similarly to the one experienced while eating spicy foods and irritability in smoking-cessation.
