Cold & Flu +

Pelargonium sidoides & Siphonochilus aethiopicus formula

Cold & Flu + is a blend of African herbs traditionally used for:

A must in every household, Cold & Flu + is a tincture of the roots of the Pelargonium sidoides and African Ginger. Both plants have achieved an excellent reputation as herbal remedies for colds and flu through scientific research, trials and customer satisfaction. Within the medical industry they have secured the admiration and following of naturalists, medical doctors and homeopaths.

Added Benefits:

Pelargonium sidoides:

With phenomenal growth, the Pelargonium sidoides has gone from being an obscure African herbal remedy to becoming one of Germany's top new medicines as well as gaining popularity in England and the USA. In the past two years sales in Germany have jumped over 700%, growing faster than any other medicine. Its success is attributed to impressive clinical results, high consumer satisfaction and a fascinating history.

The traditional use of Pelargonium sidoides for coughs and chest troubles may be explained by the presence of essential oils. Extracts of Pelargonium sidoides have clear antibacterial characteristics against Streptococci, Staphylococci and Bacillus cereus.

Works Differently:

While most other cough, cold and sinus medications simply mask outward symptoms; the mechanisms and actions of Pelargonium sidoides actually support faster recovery (ethno-botanical and in-vivo data).

Shortens Duration and Reduces Severity:

Clinical trials show that Pelargonium sidoides shortens the duration and reduces the severity of upper respiratory irritations.

Siphonochilus aethiopicus:

African Ginger (Siphonochilus aethiopicus) is regarded as one of Africa’s best natural anti-inflammatory remedies, and it has many other uses. The roots contain a high percentage of a characteristic sesquiterpenoid, which is a key phytochemical active. Extracts have been demonstrated to be anti-inflammatory (prostaglandin-synthetase inhibition), bronchodilatory, smooth muscle relaxant, mildly sedative, and anti-candidal. The presence of antiseptic monoterpenoids contributes to the bioactivity.
