Background of X-Malaria
X-Malaria
results have been field studied in conjunction with African traditional
and doctors. Field studies using X-Malaria
were first conducted in January 2000. Traditional healers in Moçambique
were given X-Malaria to
dispense to their patients. Their feedback was extremely positive: for
example, HIV/Aids patients recovered from malaria, using X-Malaria.
Of importance is the fact that the immune system of these patients was
depleted and therefore the recovery from a malaria attack less likely.
T/Dr Joao Ngome, president of the traditional healers association in Moçambique
has approved this formula. Our field experience has shown promising results.
History
The African medicinal
plants, with which X-Malaria
is made, have given positive results for the control of Plasmodium
Falciparum. African herbalists have known of the medicinal
properties of some of these plants for the treatment of malaria for centuries.
Some of this knowledge has been kept secret until recently.
Research
In 1996, specimens of an African
medicinal plant were given to a research institution
for scientific evaluation against malaria. The extracts of these specimens
were forwarded, to the University of Cape Town for further evaluation
and tests.
The department of Pharmacology of the University of Cape Town tested the
extracts for activity against chloroquine sensitive strain of Plasmodium
Falciparum (malaria parasites). The tests were successful
(under laboratory conditions) and are conclusive and scientific proof
that the extracts of the African
medicinal plant have
positive properties for Plasmodium Falciparum
and resistant strains of malaria.
Clinical trials on the effectiveness of Artemisia
afra for malaria have been conducted with successful results
for malaria. Artemisia afra is widely
used by the different categories of medical practitioners for malaria.
